We would like to congratulate, Janet Lachut wife of Imperial Sir Wayne Lachut who passed away in 2016, was honored yesterday with the Award of Merit by Past Imperial Potentate Jeff Sowder. This is the first time the Award of Merit has been presented to a woman.
Janet was recognized for her continued dedication to the fraternity and Shriners Hospitals for Children healthcare system through her volunteer efforts, most notably at the East-West Shrine Bowl and Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, where she works behind the scenes in a variety of positions, including assisting our national patient ambassadors.
2020-2021 would have been Imperial Sir Wayne Lachut’s Imperial Year.
