Fraternal Greetings to all Nobles, Ladies, and supporters of Ismailia Shrine.
It is with our sincerest appreciation that we welcome and congratulate our newly elected and installed Imperial Potentate Imperial Sir Larry Leib to represent Shriners International as well as his elected Divan and appointed officers for the ensuing year. Imperial Sir Leib’s 2027 Imperial Session will be held June 27-July 1st in Philadelphia, PA next year, so hopefully, with the right planning, we could maybe even bring some of our newer Nobles down to experience an Imperial Session, as it’s an easy drive.
We had a lot of fun in Tampa, and it was a great experience hearing the highlights and success stories from Imperial Sir Brad Koehn and First Lady Cheryl. We were right in the heart of our headquarters. I’m truly excited about next year and the future of our philanthropy.
August starts off with our Annual Eden Cornfest on August 7-9 which is being managed by our High Priest and Prophet Noble John Budowowski and our Oriental Guide Noble Timothy Noll. If you are interested in helping one of those days, even if it’s just for a few hours, please reach out to either of them as they are looking for all the help they can get.
I’ll be heading out to visit Tigris Shrine for their Potentates Reception in Syracuse towards the end of the month to celebrate Ill. Sir Joel Scarson’s year as Potentate.
On July 23rd our Feztival of Trees Chairman Ill. Sir Michael Hackford, P.P. kicked off a logistics and planning meeting as our biggest fundraiser at our Temple is just around the corner. To our newest Nobles and Families: if you can lend a hand for a few years and would like to get involved to support this event, please reach out to anyone on our Divan or our Ill Sir Hackford and we can let you know where we can use the help. This is also a great time for anyone’s children that need service hours, as our Temple is happy to support those needs. We’ll be plugging in some future logistics meetings soon so stay tuned.
Looking ahead towards September our next Stated Session will be September 9th, in which we will be having a Hawaiian Shirt night as we say goodbye to our summer vacations and returning to our labors. Please see the ad within this month’s SMILE (page 1) for further details as food and prizes will be given out at this stated session! Also, our Sportsman Raffle is coming up on September 12th, and we can use any help we can get in buying and selling the remaining raffle tickets. Additionally, our Fall Ceremonial is on September 24th so please get your petitions in over summer for any candidates you may know of who are looking to join our Mystic Shrine!
